▪️We currently employ 10 full time, 7 part time, various seasonal local workers and one claimed retiree who does so much that we’d be lost without him!
▪️We sell all Canadian meat, the majority being from within Ontario.
▪️Our priorities are to always provide you with the best customer service, the best quality of meat, at the best prices.
▪️We will always stand behind our product. If you are not happy with the quality of something that you bought from us, bring it back in, let us know, and we will always make it right!

Jim Brass opened his first butcher shop in Maple, Ontario, in 1973. Over the following 15 years, he expanded to Unionville, Concord, and Aurora. In 1989, Jim and his wife, Michaelle, decided it was time for a change. They had settled in Utopia, Ontario, and the daily commute was taking its toll. So, they took a leap of faith and opened a new shop right in their own community. Everyone said they were crazy to open a store in the middle of nowhere, but Jim was certain: if you provide a good quality product and treat people well, they will make the trip!

Now, in 2026, we are as busy as ever and still growing and thriving! Jim and Michaelle are officially retired, although not a day goes by that Jim isn’t running around helping out in the store in a million ways. Their daughter Brandy and her husband Rafee are now running the business, and currently, all three of their adult children are working at Country Meat Cuts as well!

At Country Meat Cuts we try to teach you how to purchase the best quality meat, at the best prices. Our ANNUAL SALES are really the heart of our business. Supply and demand drive costs. Therefor steaks cost the most in the summer, roasts cost the most in the winter, etc. Stocking up at the right times of year can save you big money.

We have customers that we see basically four times a year, and their freezers are stocked full of their favourites all year, and all bought at the lowest prices!
